Kara was born and raised in the Lake Country, BC, where she grew up with a passion for adventure and the great outdoors. Growing up, Kara was always an avid athlete and played competitive sports. When not working or studying, she spent her time travelling, snowboarding, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Kara believes that staying happy, healthy, and active is the key to achieving holistic well being and she’s excited to help others do the same.
Kara graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2022 and is currently a student of Osteopathy through the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada and is excited to incorporate her new skill set into her practice. Kara believes the body has an innate ability to self-heal, and allows this philosophy to guide her practice. Using a holistic approach, Kara uses a blend of gentle yet effective techniques as well as targeted deep tissue work to restore the body to full form and function. Working with muscle, bone, and joint mechanics, her treatments are focused on restoring physiological relationships with respect to the nervous system. She incorporates Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial remodelling, Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy as well as General Swedish Massage to treat patients of all ages and in all stages of life.
